this is us

Hey y’all! I am a daughter of Jesus, wife, mom, photographer and an equine enthusiast. Taking portraits has been natural to me since high school and my business has grown organically since then. I have been on a horse since as long as I can remember and crave having my own pony to love, even at 31! I don’t think that will ever change. I currently spend the majority of my time between teaching children how to ride, being behind the camera, and spending time with my husband and sweet girls in the garden. I genuinely can’t wait to meet and get to know you as we journey through making your memories last a lifetime!

taylor

The man behind it all, my one and only, high school sweetheart, music and history buff, the father to our beautiful girls, and most of all my partner in life and the leader in our family. He loves Jesus first, then passes that on to us and I couldn’t ask for anything more. He is the Worship Pastor at our local church and has supported me in making this dream a reality!

rayme

Our sweet, spunky, sassy, and beautiful five-year-old that we love from the bottom of our hearts. She is our first born and will always have her daddy wrapped around her little finger. She starts kindergarten this year and I can’t even believe it’s that time already . . .

evelyn

Our newest addition to the family! She is now two years old and an armful of sweetness. She loves her mommy, daddy, and big sister. She smiles, laughs, and gets into trouble all day long!

my story

Growing up I was blessed to have two amazing parents that worked so hard in order to provide for me and my brother. My mom works in corporate America as an accountant, and my dad a jack of all trades worked with his hands. There was never a moment when I felt that we weren’t cared for or loved. They provided for my brother to have his passions in agriculture and shooting sports, and for me to have my horses. Both of them also had passions outside of work. In particular, my dad loved photography. He instilled that in me going through high school and into college, giving me his old camera bodies and lenses. He took pictures of my horse and I before I had to give him up, as my life changed. He always pushed me to try for my own business and make a name for myself. There were a few times when he wanted to create a business together and shoot as a father-daughter team, but time and this fallen world was not on our side.

In December of 2017 my sweet daddy got very sick. We found out, through a near death experience, that he had stage 4 lung cancer. He fought a long and hard battle, still working full time, through all of the treatments until January of 2020. The Lord decided that his battle had been won on February 5, 2020 and his sweet life on this side of eternity was over, but we cherish every moment that we had with him. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss him or where I don’t just want to call him and say hello. I miss his sweet voice and all of the encouragement he always gave. This business is for him. . .for providing for my family in the same way he and my mom always provided for us.
